On June 28, Antigoron held an auction in Geneva, selling 398 pieces of precious timepieces. The total turnover reached 6.18 million Swiss francs. There are totally three perfect fake Rolex watches creating world’s record, including a Ref.6034 in 1955, a Ref.1680 Submariner COMEX in 1979 and a Ref.1680 Red Submariner in 1969.
Ref.1680 Submariner COMEX
The Ref.1680 Submariner with steel bracelet was rarely seen. It was launched in 1979. The dial is adorned with COMEX logo. Among all the COMEX sport watches, ref.1680 maybe the rarest one. There are only about 60 pieces. The estimated price of this model is between 150,000 and 250,000 Swiss francs and totally it was sold at 524,000 Swiss francs.
Ref.1680 Red Submariner
The second one is copy ref.1680 that features a Mark II tropical dial, which was manufactured in 1969. Red Submariner is one of the most popular antique Rolex. The Red Submariner features a charming brown dial. Eventually the timepiece was sold at 104,000 Swiss francs.
